October classes (plus a peek at November)


October brings cooler weather, the Beehive Shop Hop, John Deer Embroidery Event, and Halloween.  It’s also time to work on other holiday projects.  Want some help?  Take a look at our class calendars for October and November.    (See November calendar at the end of the post.)

We have been vamping up our classes but we want YOUR help.  Give us your ideas for new classes in 2014.  We are always looking for great teachers, so come on by and show us a sample of what you want to teach.  Our customers make the best teachers!
 


BLOCK PARTY – At the time of this post, our Block Party in October has already passed, BUT the next Block Party is scheduled for November 1st & 2nd.   (The picture shows our October block.)  Bring your Show & Tell!   

**NEWS**  The Riley Blake Hello Spring fabric has made it to our store shelves.  Come and get your fabric for finishing your quilt before it’s all gone.  (See Egg Money Quilts page 18 for directions.  Remember to include ¾ yard of white or another fabric to make the finishing squares for the top)

 
"Time with Teresa" – This darling purse is easy to assembleCome give it a try at our 2-part class starting October 10th and 17th at 10 am.  Class fee $20.

 



Our Knit/Crochet class with Ann will be on October 17th @ 5:30 this month.  Ann is amazing!  Come in with a pattern you want to learn or simply let her show you some fun new skills.  Cost for the class is $10. (Next class will be November 21st.)  Plan now to get those holiday projects done.

What is more fun than traveling from quilt shop to quilt shop all around the valley and beyond?  I certainly can’t think of anything.  I am excited for the BEEHIVE SHOP HOP coming October 23rd through 26th.  Visit the shops to get a free 12" block pattern.  Come see a completed quilt at our store made from all the block patterns. 

 
 

Does your sewing machine get dusty?  Even when sewing every day, my machine still manages to collect lint and dust.  Sewing with Meghan has the solution.  Join her to make your own Sewing Machine Cover on October 29th at 5:30 pm.  Call to sign up and get your materials list. Cost of the class is $15. 


Ellisimo Retreat -- November 1st from 9 am to 5 pm.  The Retreat will be open to owners of machine from the Ellageo, Ellegante, Spirit, Unity, Journey along with the Ellisimo.  We have some really fun projects in mind so you don't want to miss it.  Get your holiday sewing off to a good start - come get inspired!
 
 
Serger Club will be on November 6th @ 10:30 pm.  We will be making this gorgeous serged pillow.  Call now to sign up and learn what you need to bring.  The next club meeting will be December but discussion of the project will take place during the November meeting.  Don't miss out!

Want to learn to sew?  Join our class Learn to Sew with Carolyn -- On November 14th at 11 am, we will be making a Remote Caddy.  These classes are designed to teach new skills and to help you gain confidence. 

The next Murray Embroidery Club will be on November 16th at 10 am.  (There will not be an Embroidery Club meeting in October so you can attend the John Deer Event (See details above).  There is NO charge for this class but always great ideas and fun Show n' Tell items from our creative customers.  Join us for some inspiration and come share your ideas for the holidays.
