Calendar Block Sew Along

It's not too late to join us for our Calendar Block Sew Along!  We are using the newest Art to Heart book, Imagine, by Nancy Halvorsen.  We meet once a month on the third Wednesday from 2:00-4:00pm to sew the next month's block.  The cost is $5.00 to join us each month for the sew along and $5.00 for each month's kit.  Bring your own machine, or use one of ours.

Use your finished blocks to create this darling quilt, or pillows, or a table topper.

June embroidery club

Our June Embroidery Club was fun and educational.  Lots of projects shared too.

We learned about embroidery with heat transfer vinyl, using a twin needle and lots of other new tricks and techniques.

Serging event

@babylocksewing educator Pam Mahshie is coming to have some fun with us! 

Thursday, June 22nd from 5-8 pm, she will share with us some of her serging/quiltling tricks. Cost is just $29. 

Join us Saturday, June 24th from 9-4 for a Hands-On day of serging/quilting. Price is $59 and includes lunch, treats, kits, machine use and prizes.

Beat Cabin Fever

We will be getting together to “join” Lori Holt as she makes her newest quilt Sweetie Pie quilt!

Join us on Tuesday mornings starting on January 17, 2017 at 11:00 – 12:30.  We will have the machines all set up for you (so no lugging your machine through the snow and muck, small happy dance here)!

The Cotton Shop is pleased to announce our two quilts for Block Party 2017. You may sign up for one or both of these stunning quilts. Classes will be taught back to back three times during the month. Both classes start on January 6th.

SIMPLE LIFE

Come and join us for a “Simple Life” during 2017. For this quilt we have chosen fabrics from the 1950’s, back when life was simple. 

This is a fun quilt to make with pieced blocks and a bit of appliqué. We will be learning several different methods of appliqué for you to choose from for this striking quilt.

Cost is just $65 to start, which includes your first block.  Fat eights will be made available for the appliqué and borders.  Finishing kits will be coming soon.  Book can be purchased for 20% off when signing up for the class. 

THIMBLEBERRIES VILLAGE

Step back in time to make this beautiful quilt from Thimbleberries. The fabrics are from the Civil War collection.  The blocks are great for beginners while also fun and easy for the seasoned quilter. We will be taking you through step by step each month.

Cost is just $65 to start, which includes your first block.  The pattern is included with your sign up fee and will be given out monthly with your kit.  You just need to purchase 4 yards of background fabric.  (We have lots of new fabrics to choose from.)  Finishing kits will be made available later in the year.
