Block Party 2014
Join us in January for our new Block Party. Cost is $85 for the year with the rules being that you finish the previous months block and bring it with you to class. Otherwise, it is $10 per block. As a lot of you requested, we are using "warm" colors this year. Classes begin January 3 (10 or 10:30) or January 4 (9:30, 10 or 10:30).
Aprons Aplenty - Tea time apron
Baby its cold outside; come on in for some creative fun. Those Tea Time Apron is sure to warm up any cooks wintry days in the kitchen. Using your basic sewing skills, you will be able to complete this apron in no time. Be sure to ask for the supply list when you sign up. Cost is $15 for class and $5 for the pattern. There are two opportunities to attend the class - January 22 (10-12) or January 29 (10-12). Keep an eye on our class wall or our blog for more Aprons Aplenty classes this year!
Time with Teresa
Teresa is offering three new classes this month. Each class is $15 plus cost of supplies.
On January 7 (10-11:30) or January 9 (6-7:30), come learn how to make a quick and easy baby gift, the Self binding blanket. This blanket is made quickly and once you learn the tricks, it will be one of your favorites too.
The Log Cabin Wreath uses an Eleanor Burns pattern and can be modified with other fabrics for a whole new look. Class will be held on January 14 (10-1).
Beginning sewing with Carolyn - Glove Caddy
Carolyn will teach us how to make this functional glove caddy on January 17 (5:30-7:30). Come and learn some new skills with a sewing machine. If you don't own a machine, we have some classroom ones that you can use. Cost is $20 plus supplies.
Knit/Crochet class
Our talented teacher, Ann, can show you how to knit or crochet. She can even help you read Grandma's old knit hat pattern. Come give us a try for just $10 per class. In January, we are meeting on January 16 (5:30-7:30).
Rag Quilt
Irene will help you create a fun and easy rag quilt blanket. When you sign up, we will give you a supply list to get you started. Once you make one, you will want to make many more. Class will be held on January 23 (5:30-7:30) and cost is just $15.
Bra Making 101 Workshop
Tired of trying to find a perfect fitting bra? Attend this 4-week class for just $100 and solve this problem. Jeannette will even meet with you privately for a pre-fitted appointment before the class begins. Classes start January 30. Additional sessions will be on February 6, 13 & 27. All classes will be at 5-7:30. Sign up today and get your personal appointment with Jeannette scheduled before time runs out. Limit 6 students per workshop.
Embroidery Club
Bad weather reports suspended our partying in December so be sure to attend our January Embroidery Club for prizes, food and fun! Mark January 18 at 10 am on your calendar NOW so you don't forget. We appreciate ALL of you and miss you when you can't come. We love your ideas that you share and learn so much from all in attendance. Anyone can attend - you don't even have to own an embroidery machine, but we want to warn you - after you see all of the fun things you can do, you will want one.
